Each Kids Against Hunger meal provides all the vitamins, minerals and protein that a child needs each day—for only 25¢ a meal! We packaged 10,000 meals on April 8, 2015. A big thanks to all who helped by donating and participating!
Together we provided enough meals for 100 children for 100 days. Imagine that!
FirstChurch PX collects snacks, toiletries for U.S. troops stationed in Afghanistan.
Need is high because local PX’s are closing as troops withdraw, leaving those still on the ground with few options for obtaining such items.
Contact Bill Downs for the list of specific items needed. Cash donations also accepted to purchase items or defray shipping costs.

A shoebox filled with toys, craft supplies and other goodies can make all the difference for a child at Christmas.
Sponsored by the Weekday Program, FirstChurch supports Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse, each October and November by packing shoeboxes with gifts for delivery to children in need around the world.
FirstChurch partners in the vision of Dr. Tom Brian, a dentist from Allen, Texas, and founder ofSend Hope. Send Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization started to help the people on the Moskito Coast of Honduras.
Tom brought his vision for the House of Hope to the FirstChurch Plano Missions Committee in 2003. While providing dental care to the Moskito Indians in the Puerto Lempira area, Tom recognized additional needs of two groups – disabled divers and children with physical injuries or birth defects beyond the capabilities of the local health care establishment.
