Serving FirstChurch

Care Ministers provide a vital ongoing ministry with congregation members who have been hospitalized, are receiving treatment or have lost a loved one. Monthly calls or visits insure that all our members know they are loved and remembered. This orientation, accompanied by a pot luck luncheon, will help you learn the details of this ministry and equip you to share the love and grace of Jesus Christ with these vulnerable adults. For more information contact Alice Coder in the church office.

Disciples of Jesus Christ help others in need. How will you help?

“Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.”
Matthew 25:40

Missions are a vital part of FirstChurch ministries. Helping people in need and working for the transformation of the world are important aspects of Christian discipleship. Join FirstChurch in serving those in the community and around the world who need a hand extended to them with love and respect.

The Missions Committee meets the first Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in Room 113. All interested persons are welcome to attend and participate. For more information, contact Andy Jones, Missions Chairperson, or Alice Coder, Senior Associate Pastor for Caring Ministry.

If you have an idea for a new mission initiative, Planning Guidelines are available to help you develop your idea into a ministry benefitting both participants and those whom you seek to serve.

For more information, contact Missions Chairs Robbin Falcone, Patt Jett or Alice Coder, Senior Associate Pastor for Caring Ministry.
