Good News

It occurs to me, Lord, as I learn to adjust my morning schedule that I'm a somewhat slow learner. I've gotten stuck in my ways and new habits are harder to form than I thought. As I take time to ponder the effects of change on and in my mind, heart, will and spirit, I confront familiar proverbs. Can't teach an old dog new tricks - well we did teach our old dog to ask nicely to go outside and come in without scratching the door. Better late than never - well, sometimes. There's a lot of things I am better off not doing whether late, early or on time. Help me to be discerning and choose ways that are life-giving, that give glory to you, and help center my being in you each day and all day. All this I ask in your name. Amen.
