The New Horizon Youth Choir (NHYC)

 The New Horizon Youth Choir is a choir made up of youth in 6-12^th grade.  This talented group sings each Sunday at the 8:30 service and rehearses from 4:00-5:00 on Sunday afternoons.  Every June, the youth choir goes on tour to spread the word of God through music.  Recent choir tours have taken our youth to New York, Washington, California, Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida and throughout Texas.

Summer of 2008 the NHYC traveled to New York City.  They raise money for theri trip though an annual  Youth Choir Auction. Th e 2008-2009 event will be Sunday, October 26, 2008. Come out to support our great youth choir in their plans to share the message of Christ through music!

Youth Choir Ministry Mission Trip Purpose:

1. To be ambassadors of Christ wherever we go!
2. To build our sense of unity within the youth
3. To unashamedly share the Gospel through our singing, our mission work, our sharing, our conduct, and our fellowship!
4. To gain from one another's experience in ministry, and for other people to gain from us a sense of enthusiasm about God's work!
5. To develop positive and Christian fellowships with new friends throughout the trip!
6. To develop a commitment to God and work toward fulfilling God's purpose for our lives!
7. To be doers of the Great commission (making disciples)!
8. To experience God through worship and service!
9. To provide all involved with an unforgettable and positive experience of mission, music, and ministry
