Ways to Join
At the end of every worship service guests are invited to come to the front of the church to be received as members. We also have Joining Sundays once a month for those who would like to join in a more low-key way. For alternate ways of joining, please contact Rev. Melissa Hatch.

All who join our church:are asked the same question: "As long as you are a part of First Church, will you be faithful to it by your prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness?"
Ways to Join
Profession of Faith You join the church by profession of faith when you choose to profess your love for Christ for the first time. You will be asked the questions on page 40 of The United Methodist Hymnal. If you have not been baptized, you will be baptized at this time.
Reaffirmation of Faith You join the church by reaffirmation of faith when you have professed your faith in Christ at an earlier time but have not been part of a church family for a while. You will be asked to renew your commitment to Christ and his church.
Transfer of Membership You join the church by transfer of membership when you have membership in another denomination or another United Methodist church but wish now to become a member of First Church. A letter of transfer will be sent to your former church after you join.
Youth Youth generally join by profession of faith after comleting a nine-month confirmation class during the sixth grade. Classes for older youth are offered on a regular basis.
