Finance Committee

 

What are the functions of this committee?

  • Communicate to the congretation the financial need of the Church
  • Develop an annual budget
  • Present budget to Church Council for adoption
    Monitor endowments
    Monitor designated funds
    Monitor expenditures against adopted budget
  • Report the financials to Church Council and Charge Conference
  • Monitor and coordinate all fund raising activities with the local church
  • Count money each week (subcommittee)
  • Review and approve monthly financials

What has the committee done most recently?

  • Created new ways of raising additional budget money "Giving to the Next Level" and "Wipe the Slate Clean"
  • Reviewed building campaign receipts to budget
